Who we are
Ga^3in Ventures LLC ("Ga^3in VC", "we") is a venture capital firm based in New York. This policy covers gain.ventures, its forms and member portals, and the event and investor emails we send. Questions go to .
What we collect
- Founders applying to pitch: your name, email, company details, the materials and links you share, and your answers.
- Investors applying to our bench: your name, email, LinkedIn, organization, title, bio, and an optional photo.
- Investors asking about membership: your name, email, optional LinkedIn, investment experience, self-reported accreditation status, and who referred you. Members also have membership, billing and investment records in their portal.
- Payments: card payments are handled by Stripe, invoices and wires by our bank, Mercury. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Portals: your sign-in email or Google sign-in, and a cookie that keeps you signed in.
- Application pages: a count of page views and form starts, with a random identifier for that visit and the page you came from. Nothing follows you to other websites.
- Email: the messages you send us or reply with.
- Server logs: our host, Netlify, records IP addresses and request details to run and protect the site.
How we use it
- To review applications and inquiries and to reply. AI tools help us summarize and research, including public information such as your LinkedIn profile or company website. A person makes every decision.
- To run memberships, portals, payments, statements and investment records.
- To run events: lineups, invitations, and judge announcements with the bio and photo you gave us.
- To send event and investment updates to people who registered with us or are members. Every such email lets you unsubscribe.
- To keep the site secure and to meet legal, tax and regulatory duties.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for advertising. Service providers process it on our behalf: Airtable (our database, including its AI features), Netlify (hosting), Google Workspace (email and documents), Telegram (internal notifications to our team), Stripe and Mercury (payments), Allocations (vehicle administration, with identity and accreditation checks when you invest), Luma (event registration), Resend (event emails), and the providers of AI tools we use to summarize and draft.
When you invest in a vehicle, its administrator and service providers receive what the subscription documents and the law require. We also disclose information when the law requires it.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in to a portal or a data room. There are no analytics or advertising cookies, and our pages and fonts are served from our own domain. Because we do not track you across other websites, and no third party does so through ours, a browser's Do Not Track signal does not change how the site works.
How long we keep it
For as long as we have a relationship with you, and after that for as long as legal, tax and regulatory rules require for investment records. You can ask us to delete anything we are not required to keep.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, and you can stop our emails at any time by replying "unsubscribe". Write to and we will answer within 30 days.
If you are in the EU or the UK: we use your information to take the steps you ask for (applications, membership), for our legitimate interest in running the firm and its events, to meet legal duties, and, for a photo you give us, with your permission. Your information is stored in the United States. You may complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Our site and events are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
When our practices change, we update this page and the date at the top.
